The goal of the design was to create a lively, efficient and flexible work environment for Eurasia Partnership Foundation’s almost 20 employees and periodically attending interns and volunteers. The work style of the Foundation’s office led the design team to come up with unorthodox office furniture and equipment layout, with features like portable personal work-stations, instead of stationary office desks and glass made, wall long white boards, etc. The space is also made flexible for different layouts using folding doors. A small, but open space lounge/kitchenette space is also available for employees and visitors to create the business interactions more social. The Media Center adjacent to the office has a general meeting/conference room equipped with synchronized translation booth, transformable furniture, audio/visual and lighting equipment, audio/video recording facilities; a studio/multimedia room; offices/information center area with mobile and/or transformable furniture; a library/lounge area; a kitchen suitable for providing small banquettes and staff use are planned for the new space. It is programmed to be efficiently flexible for all the different activities planned to be hosted in the area. The project was implemented in cooperation architect Sevada Petrossian (co-author).
