SP2 Architectural Office was founded by architect - urban planner Sarhat Petrosyan in 2006.

Sarhat Petrosyan holds M.S. in Architecture and Ph.D. in Urban Planning from National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Starting from 2004, he worked as an Associate Professor at the Chair of Urban Planning of the same University. Then, in 2017, for a short period of time, he taught at the American University of Armenia Acopian Center for the Environment.

In 2011 he founded urbanlab and directed till his appointment as the head of the Cadastre Committee of Armenia in 2018 initiating profound reforms in the field and resigned in 2019.

Sarhat Petrosyan, as an urban planning expert, has participated in various local and international programs in different years. He has initiated or participated in numerous scientific and professional publications and projects․ In 2016 he was appointed аs curator of Armenian National Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
